Sonic Scapes & Weedy Grooves

Belzebong - Sonic Scapes & Weedy Grooves

First off, the fact that I've never come up with Belzebong before now is slightly upsetting. If you're a fan of the genre it's nothing you haven't heard before. It IS a pretty cool little EP though with a guitar tone that attempts to drown you. If you don't like stoner metal, this definitely won't convert you. If you do, it might be worth a listen. Also, this is literally one of the only links I could find, I apologize for the non-mediafire download.

Bone Awl - Sunless Xyggos

So apparently Klaxon finally went under, which isn't a huge surprise as those guys ran their label like a total shitshow. This is a final tape from punkish black metal dweebs Bone Awl. Same feel as the rest of their stuff, fast and furious black metal riffs, awkwardly recorded percussion. This tape is instrumental and especially savage, the repetitive riffage pretty pummeling. Harsh shit. They even slowed it down to a lumbering stomp for the final track What Are You Waiting For which I especially enjoyed.

Nick Cave - The Proposition Soundtrack

+ (DOWNLOAD)
+ (LISTEN)

Haunting to say the least. Mostly instrumental, mostly awesome. Composed by Nick Cave and his long time Bad Seeds partner in crime Warren Ellis for the western film The Proposition. The music is just as bleak as the barren western landscape, whispered vocals making a few brief but appreciated appearances.
