The Plague

Mainbrain - The Plague (2012) (EP)

The only info I can find on this brutal death band is that they're from Málaga, Spain. I'm assuming this is their first release (available for free on their bandcamp page). They've got just enough meathead chug going on to keep me interested. Are are they slamz? Or pit riffments? I honestly don't know the difference.

The Calling Depths

Lvcifyre - The Calling Depths (2011)

Heavily Immolation influenced death metal from the UK. This is another one of those bands that people refer to as "blackened" when they should really just be saying "scary".

VVVVV.

The Spear of Longinus

Infernal Legion - The Spear of Longinus (2012)

'Blackened' death from Hungary with a HUGE guitar sound that makes me wonder why I haven't heard something like this before. Apparently it's only two dudes, too.

Donginus.

Pyramid of The Necropolis

War Master - Pyramid of The Necropolis (2011)

This is one of those posts that sat in draft form for over a month and never got posted because I hate this blog almost as much as you do. It's like a relative that I don't like but feel obligated to visit. Except this shitty blog doesn't send me $20 around the holidays.

War Master is a death metal band from Houston, Texas that plays music reminiscent of Bolt Thrower, which I consider to never be a bad thing (likewise to all Incantation wannabes).

***NOTE: Because Mediafire purged most of the larger accounts (I have a Motorhead recorded uploaded with over 10,000 downloads yet my account is still active so I have no idea what's going on) links will come from wherever I find them. Sorry for the CONVENIENCE.

Gravehammer

Vore - Gravehammer (2011)

Very cool doom laden death that seeks to entertain through brute force rather than finesse. Fine by me.

Fileserve.
(Not a mediafire link, sorry.)

Satanic Black Devotion

Sargeist - Satanic Black Devotion (2003)

Seattle is about to be entombed in permafrost.
Here is some black metal that I like.

Cold as fuck.

Swarth

Portal - Swarth (2009)

Lets keep things moving along with Portal's Swarth. This is one of those bands I can't really just put on and listen to. I don't listen to them regularly but every once in awhile I feel the urge to be consumed by a swarm of buzzing riffs and obviously bees. Tons and tons of bees. Eating my brain and stuff. You know, man?

COVERED IN BEES.

Relentless Execution of Ceremonial Excrescence

Impetuous Ritual - Relentless Execution of Ceremonial Excrescence (2009)

While we're all listening to horrifying sounds from down under and I'm posting old stuff you've already heard, let's throw on some Impetuous Ritual. Two of the dudes from Portal (Yeah, that one band that sounds like a swarm of evil bees devouring your brain) are involved in this and it really shows. Every once in awhile those bees make an appearance, which isn't really a bad thing at all. At times it even sounds like some sort of anti-cosmic elephant is trumpeting in the deep and murky pit of their sound.

This album title is impossible to spell correctly on the first try. Try it. You will fail.

Australia.

Cemetery Urn

Guess what guys, here's some more awesome metal from the soutern hemisphere. As stated in the previous post, there has been some pretty evil stuff coming out of there over the past few years, Cemetery Urn no exception. Operating out of Melbourne, Australia these guys refer to themselves as 'Barbaric death metal from the grave' on their official website. A pretty fitting description, really. Here are two of their albums, both of them highly enjoyable in my opinion.

Cemetery Urn - Urn of Blood (2007)

Cemetery Urn - The Conquered Are Burned (2010)

War of All Against All

Diocletian - War of All Against All (2010)

This is old news, but I post old shit you've already heard all the time. I suppose it's appropriate that such sinister sounding stuff is coming out of the southern hemisphere, this particular group of evildoers hailing from New Zealand. If you find the above artwork confusing, it's the LP version which I thought was far superior to the original.

Diocletian.

Morbid Destitution of Covenant

Father Befouled - Morbid Destitution of Covenant (2010)

I'M SO HUNG OVER RIGHT NOW. Time for some slow, simple, and sinister death metal. Yes, they would have you believe that misshapen brown smear says Father Befouled.

Incantation.
